For a real drinking experience (i.e. no t.v. and a bartender who knows his trade) try Upstairs at Sharkey’s on Main Street, in E.C. (above Johnny’s Bistro). While you’re there, don’t forget The Judge’s Bench.

As it seems you like the Fulton/Maple Lawn area, you should add Facci and Venegas to your list. Both have a bar, although Facci’s happy hour seems a bit more well-attended.
I second the Sharky’s recommendation! We went there and the bartender told a gf of mine to give him some things that make her happy and he would make the drink. Her words were ‘Summer, berries and Christmas’. We thought the Christmas thing would totally throw him of and the drink would be gross but he did it! Very cool little place and definitely not the typical scene 🙂
I’ll be relocating most likely to the Columbia area between mid Sept.- Early Oct. Of this Summer/ Fall. I’m interested in something that my lady, my buddy & brother all will appriciate together during basketball, football & boxing seasons. We like fun environments w/ out the drama of knuckleheads who don’t respect interracial couples & too much bravado from immature sport fans. Something she can feel comfotable to & we the fellahs can hangout & enjoy decent lagars, beers & goodtimes meeting like minded cool dudes. Got suggestions? Definitely want all u can offer!!!
